Friday and some humor

This is around the time that I would hear "It's not our fault you broke the rules and dressed in clothing that did not stand out" ..... yes the British always blamed us for figuring out how to stop sticking out like a sore thumb. If you are in the woods and dressed in red you will always be spotted but in camouflage you don't.

Happy 4th to all my American family and friends and for my English friends I can assure you we hold no hostility over what happened all those years ago!

And in an unrelated but related post, when my mother and David were about to get married I had to schedule everything "beauty" around the breeders cup. Shortly before that race was run, David came in, asked who was running and stated "It has to be Black Tie Affair" because we are having one". He was right, the horse won and the horse lived until yesterday when he was euthanized due to cancer and the infirmities of old age. Grey horses are prone to skin cancer and they are treated similarly to humans.

He outlived David by just over a year but it is the little moments like this that, despite how sad they are, make you remember the joy and happiness that we all felt that day.
